What makes Center Christian Academy unique?

At Center Christian Academy each child is not only encouraged to reach their academic potential, they are loved! Our staff gives of themselves to every student that God sends our way.

Do you give the STAAR test?

No, we do not give the STAAR test. We do administer a standardized test each spring and are currently using the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), www.hmhco.com/hmh-assessments/achievement/iowa-assessment, a cutting-edge national test.

Is Center Christian Academy accredited?

The state of Texas does not accredit private Christian schools; however, graduation from an accredited school is not required for college entry. Our students in grades 3-12 are taught accredited curriculum by licensed certified teachers via BJU Christian Classroom Online. Students in grades PK3-2nd grade are taught by trained staff using nationally acclaimed curricula.

What curricula do you use?

We use a variety of curricula from Christian providers. Our PK and Kindergarten classes use both A Beka, www.abeka.com, and A.C.E., www.aceministries.com. In grades 1-4 our students use Bob Jones, www.bjupress.com, A Beka, and A.C.E. Grades 5-12 use Bob Jones for all core subjects, with other Christian curricula being used for electives.

Will my child earn a real diploma?

Yes, every high school graduate completes the graduation requirements of the state of Texas and earns a diploma. Their transcript (the official record of their high school work) will be accepted at college.

Can my child go to college?

Yes! Numerous graduates of Center Christian Academy have successfully completed college courses and earned degrees from Panola College, SFA, Lee College, and Lamar University to name a few.

What does my child need to get into college?

Admission requirements vary from college to college; however, your child will need a current high school transcript and a passing score on a college entrance exam (THEA, ACT, or SAT).

Can my high school student earn Dual Credit during their junior and senior years?

Yes! We will work with you to help your child earn as much college credit as possible before graduation. Center Christian Academy students have successfully earned Dual Credit from both Panola College and SFA. Dual Credit courses are also available through Liberty University and Bob Jones University.

Why are full tuition payments due in August and May?

Our tuition, fees, and curriculum are billed on a yearly basis. To make this easier on you, we offer a ten-month payment plan that runs from August-May each school year.
